-In the great year of 1776, our country became America. We gained our independence from Britain after a long war. The pilgrims arrived from England to Plymouth in 1620. Anne Hutchinson was banished to Rhode Island by the Wampanoag Indians. Meanwhile, the Quarkers were chilling in Pennsylvania with the Germans.
